This site contains information about the history of the Peace River Region of British Columbia and Alberta. Most of these articles have been selected from the Calverley Collection of local history materials created by the late Dorthea Horton Calverley of Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
Peel's Prairie Provinces
Peel's Prairie Provinces is a resource dedicated to assisting scholars, students, and researchers of all types in their exploration of western Canadian history and the culture of the Canadian prairies. This website contains both an online bibliography of books, pamphlets, and other materials related to the development of the Prairies, as well as a searchable full-text collection of many of these items. As of Fall 2010, Peel contains approximately 7,500 digitized books and over 35,000 newspaper issues. Also includes a postcards collection and directories.
