Old Answer (still applies to my way of thinking):

I don't currently have a search engine on my site for two reasons:
• Until recently my web site was part of my personal account with my ISP and this type of account does not include the CGI access that would be necessary to run a search engine.
• I believe that the hierarchical, categorization on my site is much more useful to most researchers online. The categories are those that veteran researchers are already familiar with and the structure of the list helps those that are new to research learn about the multitude of genealogical resources that they should use in order to further their efforts. Many people have told me that in using my list, they have learned of various types of records and new avenues available to them that they hadn't known about beforehand.
