What's New on Cyndi's List?
New Links Submitted in June 2008
- As new links are submitted to me via the Submit a New Link form, they will temporarily be added to a page of uncategorized links for that month.
- The links are added automatically by a computerized script that runs each night. They appear *exactly* as they were submitted by the visitor. The links are also forwarded to the CyndisList Mailing List through the automated script.
- Once I place these links in their permanent home on various category pages on Cyndi's List, I will remove them from these uncategorized pages.
- New links are added to the individual category pages on Cyndi's List as we have time to visit, verify and examine each web site.
- You can identify new links and updated links on Cyndi's List by looking for either of these graphics:

- Society Support Program
One of the biggest challenges facing societies today is that of recruiting new members and raising funds to enable them to continue their research and preservation projects as well as community educational programs. Many times these costs are absorbed by individual members themselves dedicated to preserving history for future generations. Recognizing these challenges, and with a desire to assist in their efforts, The Family History Store has launched its all new Society Suppport Program. The new program went into effect on June 23, 2008, with the release of our brand new website. The new program will allow U.S. non-profit historical and/or genealogical societies to register with The Family History Store and will allow customers of The Family History Store to link their purchase to their favorite non-profit society* during the checkout process. The family History Store will then make a donation to that society equal to 3% of that customer's purchase (excluding taxes and shipping charges). See website for more details.

We are still having problems with the scripts that run the What's New updates each night. So, any links submitted on these days aren't being copied onto this page and have been lost. If you submitted a new link for genealogy during that time, please save them until we have this fixed. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We are working to get the scripting errors corrected. Thank you again for your patience. --Cyndi [For you techies: ever since we updated the version of Perl on the server the file permissions have been a problem, so overwriting and allowing the scripts to write to these files is the issue]
