For anyone with a genealogical interest in Canton Oberland, Switzerland. Canton Oberland was divided into ten districts, with Thun as its capital. The Districts using their 1798 spellings include: Saanen, Ober-Simmenthal, Nieder-Simmenthal, Frutigen, Aeschi, Thun, Unterseen, Interlaken, Brienz, and Oberhasle. Canton Oberland is now part of Canton Bern, Switzerland.
