WorldVitalRecords.com - American Marriage Records Before 1699 $
American Marriage Records Before 1699. William Montgomery Clemens. (1926). This interesting compilation contains the marriage records of many of the early colonists of New England, Long Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and the Carolinas. Its 12,000 recorded marriages constitute a directory of the earliest residents in America. Names are arranged alphabetically in block letters from A to Z with original spelling variants, and information supplied with each entry includes the exact date and place of marriage. This book is an outgrowth of twenty years of research in church records and in national, state, and town archives, and is the brainchild of the compiler of the celebrated North and South Carolina Marriage Records.
