Saskatchewan Country Elevator System Maps with Index Years: 1924-25, 1947-48, 1950-51, 1952-53, 1984
Saskatchewan Wheat Pool Historic Maps of Saskatchewan. In the early 1900s transportation was via walking or horse and no roads, travel was difficult. When hauling grain to elevators with horse and wagon, approximately seven miles was considered to be a convenient distance. Many early Saskatchewan placenames which do not currently exist are on these maps.
