The blog provides a place where I and any guests can share old photos and/or the little mysteries that our Swedish or other Scandinavian ancestors left us. During one's Swedish/Scandinavian genealogy research, new people and places in the family history are uncovered, many with fascinating stories. Some of mine include a small Finnish island I cannot find, strange ingredients in my grandfather's recipes, like deer antler salt in his cookies, and regional costumes worn in the wrong region.

It has good genealogy links, a store with genealogy books in Norwegian and English (from the Biri area, etc.), information about genealogy programs and can offer some help with finding your family. It is basically the Biri, Redalen and Snertingdal area. You have a good chance of finding your ancestors back to about 1650.
