Arkansas Digital Archives - Arkansas State Land Records 1822-1986
The Arkansas State Land records were donated to the Arkansas State Archives by the Arkansas State Land Commissioner's Office. The records span from 1822 to 1986 and include Land Donation Applications, Swamp Land Applications, Swamp Land Patents, Proof of Internal Improvement Papers, Proof of Loss Documents, Forfeited Deeds, Relinquishment Papers, and other legal documents generated by the State Land Commissioner's Department.

Arkansas Digital Archives - Photographs
The Arkansas State Archives' collections contain over a half-million photographic images of Arkansas and its people throughout history. The collections consists of black-and-white prints, negatives, daguerreotypes, tintypes, ambrotypes, and cyanotypes. Line drawings, postcards, engravings, and portraits are also included. Large collections such as the Ernie Deane photographs, Shrader negatives, Ozark Cultural Resource Center images, and the Thomas Harding photographs make up a significant portion of our holdings.

FamilySearch - United States Civil War Service Records of Union Soldiers, 1864-1866 FREE
Union service records of Confederate prisoners of war who enlisted and served in the 1st- 6th U.S. Volunteer Infantry Regiments. The records include a jacket-envelope for each soldier, labeled with his name, his rank, and the unit in which he served. The jacket-envelope typically contains card abstracts of entries relating to the soldier as found in original muster rolls, returns, rosters, payrolls, appointment books, hospital registers, Union prison registers and rolls, parole rolls, inspection reports; and the originals of any papers relating solely to the particular soldier. For each military unit the service records are arranged alphabetically by the soldier's surname. The Military Unit field may also display the surname range (A-G) as found on the microfilm. This collection is a part of RG 94, Records of the Adjutant General's Office, 1780's-1917 and is National Archive Microfilm Publication M1017. Index courtesy of Fold3.

Images of 429 volumes of Confederate Prisoners of War records, most of which are from the War Department's Office of the Commissary General of Prisoners. Others are from the Surgeon General's Office, a few Army commands and individual prison camps. The collection consists mainly of lists and registers and is part of RG 109, War Department Collection of Confederate Records. This is NARA publication M598.

Images of card records used to provide headstones for deceased Union veterans. Most burials occurred in private cemeteries though some may have occurred in National Soldier Home cemeteries. Gravestones were provided to Union soldiers who died between 1861 and 1903. Some cards may include War of 1812 veterans. The gravestones were provided between 1879-1903 by the United States government. Some of the names on the cards may be difficult to read.

Index and images of a Register of Confederate soldiers, sailors and citizens who died in federal prisons and military hospitals in the North,1861-1865. This collection corresponds to NARA publication, M918, one roll from Record Group 92 Records of the Office of the Quartermaster General. The register was compiled in 1912 in the Office of the Commissioner for Marking the Graves of Confederate Dead. The register is arranged by place of death then alphabetically by name. A table of contents will be found at the beginning of the volume.

The primary mission of Archives and Special Collections at Ouachita Baptist University is to preserve records, documents, and select artifacts that chronicle the history of the school from its founding in 1886 to the present. The National Archives Building in Washington, DC, houses surviving report forms sent to postmasters seeking information for the Topographer's Office to use in compiling postal route maps. These records have been reproduced as Microfilm M1126, Post Office Department Records of Site Locations, 1837–1955 (683 rolls). M1126 has been digitized and made available online through the National Archives Catalog (National Archives Identifier 608210).
