Stinnett DNA Project Patriarchs
Welcome to the Stinnett DNA Patriarchs blog. It is my intention to publish every participant's genealogy. You may choose to furnish your contact information and be identified by your name or your earliest ancestor. You may also communicate by comments under the posts if that is easier. This blog is public and of interest to participants of the Stinnett (and all name varients) DNA Project as well as their families and fellow researchers. I hope that every participant will send me a genealogy chart that I can copy and paste here on a special page for that purpose. I welcome the submission of photos also.

The WOODY Family of Old Virginia
Using primary sources and direct evidence, a number of Woody descendants have traced their lineages back to Virginia in the late 18th or early 19th century. Because of several factors, the extension of these lineages by traditional research is almost impossible; however, results from the Woody DNA Project prove that nearly all participants with such lineages share a common ancestor. This site provides an index to virtually all Virginia Woodys found in the US censuses & the lineages for these people. Also, the lineages of all males that have been found to have a common yDNA with the Virginia Woodys are presented.
