      The Beresan District Odessa (BDO) mailing list is for anyone with a genealogical interest in the Beresan Colonies which were made up of Germans who immigrated to Russia, beginning in the first decade of the 19th century, at the request of Alexander I, Tsar of Russia. The Colonies were located Northeast of the city of Odessa on the Black Sea.

      A mailing list supporting the Borislav, Drogobych, Sambor & Vicinity (BDS&V;) Research Group. Borislav, Drogobych, and Sambor were variously part of Austria (the eastern section of Galicia), Poland, and now the Western Ukraine.     • EXULANTEN Mailing List 
      Exulanten is the name given to the Protestants that were forced out Austria (estimated as many as100,000) during 16th to 18th century. The largest wave of about 22,000 left the Salzburg area in1731/32.
