Rather than taking the line backwards (where there tends to be significant debate about some relationship to a Scottish clan called Urquhart), I'm capturing all of the descendants of William Orcutt who arrived in Hingham, Massachusetts in 1664. Every Orcutt in America today is a descendant of William.The DUFOUR line has its origins in the Lisieux, Normandy area of France. The immigrant, Gabriel-Robert Dufour arrives in North America via Nova Scotia, and settles along the St. Lawrence River (Quebec and Aroostook County, Maine) where he worked as a marshall.
