- South Central Pennsylvania Genealogical Society
Our primary geographical area of interest and coverage is York and Adams Counties in Pennsylvania. Our aim is to encourage and promote an interest in genealogy. We do this by collecting and preserving materials related to genealogy; by encouraging the compiling and publishing of family genealogies and histories; by publishing, as demands and finances allow, material of interest and benefit to members; and by holding meetings for the education of our members and the public. Also, financial and volunteer support is given to the library of York County Heritage Trust (formerly The York County Historical Society).
