National Dialogues on Immigration
Beginning in January 2014, twenty museums and historic sites across the United States launched the National Dialogues on Immigration Project: a bold, new public initiative to use historical perspective to foster dialogue on immigration issues among people with diverse perspectives and backgrounds through visceral encounters with the past. Continuing throughout 2015, this cross-regional series is designed to spark a new national conversation on critical immigration themes of Citizenship and American Identity, Restrictions and Legality, Borders and Freedom of Movement, and Civil Rights and Civil Liberties.

Story of how the Norwegians going to America in the time between 1825 and 1925 would travel. Also gives some insight into the amazing development in how ships were constructed and the transportation arranged to meet the demands of the increasing number of people on the move. Even though this is about the experience of Norwegian emigrants, the experiences and conditions of travel will be much the same regardless of nationality.

Emigrants from Toten, Oppland, Norway. This is a remarkable record of the efforts, over 15 years, of Ole Granum to record and note the parents and the destinations of more than 15,000 emigrants who left Toten (East and West) between 1846 and 1966. It is listed by year, not by name, unfortunately.
